The Pupbag was born after I had to take some time out from my day job as a shepherdess/farm work due to a health issue. I was taking my two working collies out to the local park and finding I had a big dislike for carrying a bag of dog poo in my hand until I could get to a bin!  I also noticed how often people would pick their dog's poo up and then just leave the bag on the side of the path or would hang it in a tree because they didn't want to carry it. My solution to the problem was to design and make a lightweight bag where the offending poo bag could be stashed instead of having to awkwardly carry it.

I wanted to design it so that I hardly knew I was wearing it, it opened and closed effortlessly, kept the smell inside and would also hold other essential dog walking kit (away from the poo!) such as poo bags, treats, phone and keys - and of course it had to look great too!

I’m hopeful I have achieved this. The waterproof lining ensures the smells are contained and any accidental leakage can be easily wiped cleaned. There is a separate zipped pocket the perfect size for a phone plus two additional pockets inside the bag where keys, extra poo bags and treats can be stored.

The added bonus is that the pouch on the front is also detachable so you can use it separately by snapping it onto your belt, belt loop or dog lead!  With the extensive choice of fabrics, there’s something for everyone!  And if you can’t spot something that you want, just get in touch and see if I can find something for you.

Aside from sewing and making products for dogs and dog walkers, I have another string to my bow which is shepherding. I have been fortunate enough to have found my passion in life which is lambing and looking after sheep.  I wanted to apply this passion in a positive way and use the experience I have had hence Come By Creations was started. My lambing products have been developed over 30 years of spending time with sheep and seeing opportunities to help make the job easier and safer.  My aim is always...everything I do, it is for the animals and being able to look after them better.
